The main problems with the Crusader are his lack of reach (excepting holy lance) and slow speed, not so much his damage. I'm guessing that your opponent had some protection? Most of the Swines, especially the front rank ones, have pretty big protection values so that could explain why the damage is paltry, especially if your damage roll was low as well. His damage range at level 3 weapons should be 11-22 including the +40% modifier on it.
Well, with only two weapon upgrades, he really shouldn't be doing level 5 missions anyway. What is good about the Crusader and how are you supposed to use him? Thing about him that disappoints me about him is his veerry underwhelming damage. I bring him to the warrens at level 5, 2 weapon upgrades, and trinkets and qurks give him +40% against the pigs for an amazing.
